About

The Expedition

Searching For the Flood is a cinematic documentary series that travels across all fifty United States in search of geological evidence for the biblical flood of Noah. Hosted by filmmaker Tyler Shannon and paleontologist Dr. Kurt Wise, each episode examines a single state's unique rock formations, fossil beds, canyon systems, and sedimentary layers — asking whether what we see on the ground today carries the signature of a world-covering deluge.

From the towering walls of the Grand Canyon to the coal seams of the Appalachian basin, from the scoured channels of the Channeled Scablands to the fossil graveyards of the Badlands, the series brings field geology to life with a cinematic lens. Every episode is filmed on location, grounded in observable evidence, and presented with both scientific rigor and reverent wonder. The goal is not to argue — it is to show, to explore, and to let the rocks speak for themselves.

This project is built for explorers, students, families, and anyone curious about the intersection of faith and science. Whether you are a lifelong believer, a skeptical investigator, or simply someone who loves a great field expedition, these documentaries are designed to be accessible, visually stunning, and thought-provoking. You can purchase individual state episodes to download and keep, or join the Expedition Pass — a monthly membership that funds ongoing filming and grants streaming access to every released episode plus exclusive bonus content, posted often.

Searching For the Flood is produced by Tyler Shannon in collaboration with Dr. Kurt Wise, one of the leading voices in creation geology. New episodes are filmed and released state by state as the expedition continues — join the journey and discover what the land beneath your feet reveals.
